When all the pieces come together

For the past few years I've struggled as a teacher. I've gotten trainings on lots of great things (IB,PBL, AVID, Kagan) but the setting, system, focus did not allow me to put it all together into one package. It was frustrating.

This year I finally get to put it all into practice and because many if these programs are new initiatives at the school I get to put them onto practice but I don't have to be excellent yet. The best part is that I know we will work on these initiatives for a few years to get them established. In the past, there was nothing as frustrating as starting something new on a school wide/ district wide level only to have it tossed. Every year felt like starting from scratch. Now, I'm at a disadvantage because I need training on things that have were established a few years ago and I wasn't here when it started.

The stress of the last few years has been so worth it. I feel like I can really grow a program, I feel like I've finally found a home.
