the end of the first week

So this is the end of the first week of the doctor stretching and electrocuting me. Generally the pain is better. I have less overall stabbing and throbbing pain but a new symptom has emerged - BURNING. Yes, it feels like my foot and calf have been set on fire.

Nerves are funny things. Their job is to send sensations to the brain. But when the nerve is irritated or impacted in some way it begins to send false sensations to the brain. I've been dealing with tingling and numbness in my foot for the past few months but the burning is nearly as obnoxious as the stabbing pain.

This week was weird. I did very little. I read a little, did a little work, played a little on my DS, watched a little TV but didn't really do much of anything. Most of the week was focused around my daily doctor appointments. Trying to get my mind in work mode is becoming difficult. I'm looking forward to going back to work but not the stress of it.
